Photography has changed over the years, the invention of digital has opened up the ability to photograph without limit. My photography is always taken with the couple and guests enjoyment at heart. I try not to spend all day setting up awkward posed shots. For me the day has to flow naturally, I always do my best to capture as much as possible and in an honest way. This is why I shoot in a reportage style, documenting as much as possible and I always provide my clients with a set of images that display the variety of the day. There are always formal shots to capture with family, of which I try to keep to a minimum (where couples allow) and photograph quickly and simply. I always like to take couples away for a short period to allow some calm, intimate moments where I can create some relaxed beautiful images (again without too much posing and fuss).
I believe that every little thing counts during a wedding a day. Couples spend days agonising over the choice of flowers, fabrics, table plans…not forgetting the shoes! I always try to the spend time capturing every detail I can.
Your guests are important. The assumption is that as you've gone to the trouble of inviting your guests to join you on the greatest day of your lives, they may actually be special to you! As much as all the elements of the day are key; the venue, the decor, the menu, I believe that the day can only be a success with happy smily people. It is essential to creating beautiful images. I put the focus of my portfolio not only on the happy couple, but also your loved ones. You will find that your final set of images will show what an amazing day everyone experienced…not just yourselves.
